Dear members,

Please be advised that entries are now open for our 1/4 mile acceleration test to be held on Sunday 23rd June 2013 on the Thickets straight in St. Philip - details below.

The event is open to BADD members and invited guests. Numbers will be limited to 60 BADD entries and 30 invited guests. Entries are now open at Motorsport Services and will close on Friday 14th June 2013. The entry fee is $40 and insurance $40 for a total of $80. No new drivers will be permitted to enter this event.

Bushy Park circuit will be the service area for this event and scrutineering will also be done at this location. Scrutineering will begin at 10am and competitors arriving later than 12 noon will be penalised as follows: cars arriving between 12 noon and 1pm will forfeit their first run. Cars arriving after 1pm will not be allowed to compete and will forfeit their entry fee. The event will start at 1pm and end at 5pm

The 1/4 mile will be run from near the bottom of Stewart Hill in the direction of Thickets. The transit from Bushy Park will take competitors past Mapps, 3 Houses Park and up Blades Hill to the bottom of Stewart Hill and will return to Bushy Park from Thickets junction. Competitors are reminded that the transit routes are open public roads. The only road closed for the duration of the event is the Thickets straight. Any person seen or caught driving in a reckless or unlawful manner on any part of the transit route will be immediately excluded from the event and face further disciplinary action.
