Jeremy Silences His Competition

Jeremy “Silent Man” Greenidge piloted his 4WD Mitsubishi Mirage through the season to emerge as BADD’s 2016 Champion Driver.  He won the 8.0-8.5 second class in April, runner-up in June in the 7 second class, and runner-up again in the 10.0-11.0 second class in October (with a different car).

Jeremy also made an appearance at the Barbados Fesitval of Speed which was held in May at Bushy Park Circuit.

His 336 points haul saw him win comfortably over second placed Andre Walcott in a Suzuki Swift with 255 points.  Third place went to Kevin Griffith, also in a Suzuki Swift with 253 points.

Graeme Finlayson in a Westfield Megabusa (175 points) and Shorne Joseph in a Nissan Pulsar (174 points) rounded out the top 5 places for the year.

Jeremy collected his John “Tiny” Harrison memorial trophy on Saturday Nov 19 at the prize giving ceremony at the Vaucluse Raceway clubhouse.  The prize giving was preceded by a drifting session which was attended by a dozen drifters who thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to test a proposed drift course at the Vaucluse Raceway facility.

Other winners of the night were Ramon Worrell for the fastest RT of 0.026 seconds, Anthony Stoute for best 60’ of 1.580 seconds, Robert Bishop for fastest trap speed of 112.58 MPH and Dan Johnson for fastest ET of 6.626 seconds.

The 2017 season kicks off with a practice session on March 12th, while the first event will be held two weeks later on March 26th - both at Bushy Park.
